What is Skill Gapping?
The process of skills-gapping is the level of difference (or the gap) between the level of skills necessary and/or required for a job versus the skills the potential employee/s actually have. Organizations tend to have very specific skill sets that they are looking for in potential new employees. Especially in this economy where demands are higher than supply and so employers are more reluctant to settle or compromise. Rather they will wait until that ‘special’ employee with a specific skill set is available.
